The achievement of world-record annual accuracy* of ± 1 second epitomises The CITIZEN’s commitment to telling the accurate time over the long term, as a true partner to the user. The brand strives for the “perfectly pure second,” a second that marks the time with greater precision than other watches are capable of. Whether with Eco-Drive or with mechanical movements, The CITIZEN is on a never-ending quest for accuracy.

CITIZEN is one of just a handful of manufactures (companies that can do everything from making individual watch components to final product assembly). Assembling The CITIZEN products demands extraordinary skill, with dedicated meisters using all their finely-honed instincts to breathe life into the brand. “Ever more beautiful and more accurate…” The CITIZEN will keep improving its technology and individual components as it crafts the next ideal in a bid to become a part of users’ lives.

The CITIZEN wants people to keep using and loving its products regardless of changes in fashion. That is why the brand believes in simple and practical designs that appeal to a wide audience. The more people who enjoy that aspect of the brand, the better. In parallel with a basic commitment to timeless design beyond short-term fads and fashions, the brand works to produce new concept designs suitable for a range of situations and occasions.

We want our customers to enjoy our products with complete peace of mind over decades. That is why The CITIZEN promises strong support from our dedicated staff. “What does genuine satisfaction look like for our customers?” That’s the question we never stop asking ourselves at The CITIZEN. We are working on a global basis to expand and improve the services that spark customer delight.
